HPP about station development

The railway station: the city’s living room!

The urbanisation task in the Netherlands is huge. Especially around the station, there are many opportunities for the city, especially in terms of housing. That is why HPP is organising a meeting on station development on Wednesday 10 May.

Sebastiaan de Wilde, Director of Real Estate at NS Stations, will present NS’ vision on the sustainable accessibility of the Netherlands and the task of urbanisation around stations. He will discuss the government contributions that have been promised for a large number of stations and the opportunities NS sees for housing development.

Bas Meijs, Director of Urban Development at the municipality of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, takes us through his municipality’s vision for the railway zone and the recently launched study on the complete renewal of the station and its surroundings.

Naturally, there will again be plenty of room for exchanging thoughts and ideas with each other on station development and all the opportunities involved.

When: Wednesday 10 May
Time: 17:30h walk-in, 18.00h start meeting and diner
Where: De Zandkamer, Koninginnenlaan 3, ‘s-Hertogenbosch

The intimate atmosphere and private nature of these meetings enable participants to exchange thoughts on the basis of equality. The themes of these meetings vary from housing construction, legislation, spatial planning, finances, energy transition and topics related to sustainability and the climate.
