Round Table Meeting Interreg/Euregio [CONCEPT]

“New developments in the housing market in the Netherlands and Germany: how do people want to live, in which places and how do you organise mobility?”

Living in a house, in a town or village, transport by train and bus, very normal concepts for most of our population. Yet there is no subject that is so often under discussion as “living”. If it is not the location that is missing for new houses, then it is the building price that is skyrocketing, which threatens to lead to a great lack of housing. In the Netherlands, the need for new housing by 2030 has risen to 1 million. This does not even include the target group of senior citizens.

In Germany, too, housing construction is a recurring theme. What are the similarities between the two countries and what are the differences?

On Wednesday 29 January we would like to discuss this theme in detail with you.*

First of all, Mr Han Joosten, leiter Gebietsentwicklung & Marktforschung BPD Immobilienentwicklung GmbH will give a presentation on the results of the recent BPD research into housing needs and mobility in the Netherlands and Germany.

Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Guido Spars, from the University of Wuppertal, will give his critical reflections on this topic.

The afternoon will be opened by Mr Andy Dritty, member of the Provincial Executive of Limburg.

Of course there will be plenty of opportunity for discussion under the direction of Mr. Wienke Bodewes.
