HPP decision-makers go ‘Cycling 4 Climate’

  General news

We can no longer wait to draw attention to the rising sea level and its consequences for the entire Randstad area and some 9 million Dutch citizens. Last century, the sea level already rose by 20 centimetres. This century, there is a risk of a further 80 centimetres being added.

To contribute to raising awareness about the consequences of climate change, we will join Cycling 4 Climate with the Climate Classic 2022 tour on Monday 20 June. With a few HPP decision-makers and more than 1000 other sustainable cyclists, we will cycle almost 400 kilometres (125 and 250 km routes also possible). A journey along the coastline that is created in the Netherlands when the sea level rises too far. A coastline that may never become reality…

Good luck to our cyclists:

  • Annemarie Leeuwen
  • Jeroen Galle
  • Alfred Bolks
  • Gijs Albada Jelgersma
  • Jos Wetters
  • Paul Voogd
  • Hanneke Diephuis
