Lelystad Airport and Lelystad Airport Businesspark (LAB / OMALA), together with Floriade Almere 2022, organize a bicycle tour on September 23,  from 9 am to 4.30 pm. This year the attendees will, just like last year, cycle a number of routes between Lelystad and Almere. There is cycling in various groups in different distances (70 km – 110 km). The Roparunteam Lelystad takes care of the coaching.

A lot has happened in and around Lelystad Airport and Lelystad Airport Business Park (LAB) last year. At the end of 2017, work on the start and runway and taxiway was completed. The increase of the control tower will be completed in July. And the construction of the terminal is already well advanced. The construction of the new holiday airfield will be completed in early 2019.. It is expected that from April 2020, Lelystad will be able to fly to attractive holiday destinations in Europe and around the Mediterranean Sea.
At LAB, the development of Inditex, the largest logistics development in the Netherlands, started in August 2017. Everyone is working hard to make sure that it is operational from May 2019. With buildings up to 30 meters high, it is a development that can not be overlooked.

Major steps were also taken at the Floriade last year. The contours of the future Floriade terrain can already be clearly seen on the Weerwatereiland. Everything is on course for the opening of the seventh world horticulture exhibition on 28 April 2022.
