On the 27th of January during the HPP-IREIN & Finance Round Table Meeting, Sandra Phlippen, Chief Economist at ABN AMRO Bank has explained how intensely European financial markets respond to the current trade agreement between China and the US. And what the effects of that agreement might or will be for Europe in general and our sector in particular and what kind consequences there might be for Europe and our sector now Brexit is a fact! Sandra Phlippen stated: “Do these two facts mean unraveling the world order?”

Based on the presentation the participants had an interesting discussion with at the end a few conclusions: Neither of the involved parties will have an interest in a large (economic) escalation and sentiments have a proven actual impact in the end on the “real” world wide economy.
