HPP-Y-GEN about the Environment and Planning Act

Back in 2011, the government gave the initial impetus for developing the Environment and Planning Act. The law that is supposed to bundle all laws and regulations for the physical environment into one coherent approach. The aim of the exercise: fewer and clearer rules, less bureaucracy, more influence for stakeholders, and more room for tailor-made solutions for local governments. Now, 10 years later and after several moments of postponement, it really seems to be here: the introduction of the new Environment and Planning Act in 2024. But what will exactly change? And are we all ready for it?

Legal specialist Jaar Massali (Holla) will take us interactively through the factual implications of the Environment and Planning Act. Next, the vision of the changes both from a municipal perspective and from the market will be outlined with:

  • Ton van Snellenberg, Programme Manager for the Introduction of the Environment and Planning Act, Municipality of Enschede
  • Roderick Stoffer, Head of Acquisition, VolkerWessels Vastgoed

Finally, there will be room for discussion with the speakers and participants.
