The number of (social rental) homes in the Netherlands is far too low to meet the demand for affordable housing. In addition, the need of focus groups for appropriate housing with support and the available municipal budgets are increasingly out of balance. The result? The supply of housing for starters, people moving on, the elderly and vulnerable groups is deteriorating and the social costs are increasing due to the lack of a home for these groups.

We staan voor een enorme uitdaging. Het aantal (sociale huur)woningen in Nederland is veel te laag om te voldoen aan de vraag naar betaalbare woningen. Daarnaast raken de behoefte van aandachtsgroepen aan passende huisvesting mét ondersteuning en de daarvoor beschikbare gemeentelijke budgetten steeds verder uit balans.

In the clock tower… Sander Dekker

It was a turbulent time for Sander Dekker and his colleagues at Cordeel. Not only did they have to be innovative to continue working safely on the building site, they were also forced to switch gears constantly due to the worldwide increase in material prices. Yet there was also time and space to look to the future.
